Title: Partner and Founding Member
Company: IEA Wealth Management, LLC
Location: Ankeny, Iowa, United States
Linda A. Johnson-Lundquist, LUTCF, Partner and one of four Founding Members of IEA Wealth Management, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in insurance and wealth management.
Born in Iowa City, IA, and graduating from the University of Iowa, Ms. Johnson-Lundquist began her career in insurance and financial services in 1988, when she became a State Farm Insurance Agent. In 2000, after 12 years of service, she took an early retirement from State Farm to relocate to the Des Moines, IA area with her late husband’s career move. She went independent, and during the following years, she acquired a broad range of experience working for several different entities. She served as an insurance advisor to financial consultants for a regional bank in Iowa and western Illinois, serving 16 branch offices. Following this, she gained experience with a variety of other insurance companies where she gained more in-depth knowledge about various types of insurance products, including Life Insurance, and Health and Disability Income products, Long Term Care Insurance, and Medicare health plans.
In 2005, she met with a certified financial planner and two other agents who desired to open their own independent investment advisory practice. Ms. Johnson-Lundquist was invited to become a partner of the enterprise, and in 2005 IEA Wealth Management, LLC was established by the four Funding Members, with three offices in IA and MN—naming their firm ‘IEA,’ representing Integrity, Ethics, and Accountability–essential components of an investment advisory firm. Under Ms. Johnson-Lundquist’s oversite, in 2010 IEA became a Registered Investment Advisor Firm with the SEC, making the partners fiduciaries.
Ms. Johnson-Lundquist maintains registrations and certifications required for her independent insurance and investment advisory practice. This dual practice enables her to offer advice on investment strategies and retirement planning, and to enhance her clients’ long-range planning by incorporating proper insurance policies to protect her clients, their families, their incomes, and their assets. By being independent, she can research the most appropriate insurance products for her clients’ needs–and not be limited to just those offered by only one insurance company. She provides advice in the preparation of risk management for her clients and utilizes her proprietary ‘needs analysis’ worksheets to assist in this process.
Ms. Johnson-Lundquist maintains both her Life and Health insurance licenses. She is a certified agent to market Medicare health plans and supplements, and is certified on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace for individual health insurance. She works with individuals, as well as small businesses, and provides consulting services to attorneys in their estate planning work.
She is a Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), and maintains affiliation with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, (NAIFA). She has served on the NAIFA-Iowa State Board, as well as Past President of NAIFA-Iowa City and NAIFA-Central Iowa, and was notably named Agent of the Year by both local associations in 2020 and 2004, respectively. Ms. Johnson-Lundquist also earned an Earnest Craig National Award from the Life Underwriters Training Council in 2004 for her work organizing educational LUTCF classes for NAIFA members.
Ms. Johnson-Lundquist is a member of the American Business Women Association, (ABWA), serving as Past President of two Iowa chapters; the Ankeny and Greater Des Moines Area Chambers of Commerce; and Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity of Women, from whom she received a fraternity service award. Looking toward the future, she intends to continue building her practice with IEA Wealth Management and continue working in management and advisory positions. She thoroughly enjoys helping her clients and working within her practice, and she attributes her success to her sincerity, her interest in others’ needs and her aptitude for performing excellently in her work.
