Vernon Leslie Grose, Chairman at Omega Systems Group, Incorporated, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business ownership, government and engineering.
Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science in physics from Whitworth College, Mr. Grose entered his career in 1952 as an applied physicist at The Boeing Company, remaining there until 1959. Throughout the course of his career, he served such companies as Litton Industries, Northrop Ventura, North America Aviation, the Tustin Institute of Technology and Omega Universal, Inc., in myriad capacities through 1983. From 1983 to 1984, he was a presidentially-appointed member for the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, D.C., before becoming an expert consultant to The White House’s assignment to the NASA chief engineer and to the Environmental Protection Agency’s associate administrator for research and development between 1984 and 1986. Since 1986, Mr. Grose has excelled as chairman of Omega Systems Group, Incorporated.
Lending his expertise to academia as well, Mr. Grose was an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Germany, and Spain, as well as at George Washington University. He was an expert lecturer for the American Society of Safety Engineers and a risk analyst for CNN, as well as a contributor for Fox News since 1996. Notably, he has been an expert commentator for more than 300 television interviews since 1988.
The author of the book “Managing Risk: Systematic Loss Prevention for Executives,” published in 1987, Mr. Grose is a former U.S. Air Force captain, where he served between 1951 and 1972. During this time, he received a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. As a testament to his success, he received an honorary Doctor of Science from Southern California College in 1973. Likewise, he was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. Mr. Grose is a fellow and associate member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the National Academy of Sciences.
