Vern C. Hayden, Client Advocate, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in financial services.

A certified financial planner since 1978, Mr. Hayden has excelled in his five-decade-long career spanning wealth management, retirement life planning and financial services. Backed by a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and theology from Wheaton College from 1959, he also conducted postgraduate studies at New York University, the University of Oregon, American University and the University of Southern California. Prior, he was president of the Center for Retirement and Investment Planning from 2017 to 2020 and president and founder of Hayden Wealth Management from 1988 to 2017. He commenced his career working in private practice in San Rafael, California in 1970.

Highly distinguished for his broad knowledge, Mr. Hayden has had more than 300 appearances on CNBC, Bloomberg, NBC, ABC, CNN and others. In addition, he has written 91 financial planning articles for, 32 articles for The Journal of Financial Planning and wrote the first training manual for financial planners entitled “The Process of Financial Planning” in 1979, as well as multiple books. Mr. Hayden’s most recent book from 2003 is entitled, “Getting an Investing Game Plan…Creating It, Working It, Winning It” and he is currently writing his fourth book called “How Do I Know You Won’t Steal My Money?” Likewise, he has conducted more than 500 presentations, as he was the opening keynote speaker at the annual Chengdu, China Exhibition in 2015.

Alongside his primary roles, Mr. Hayden was a founder and chairman of the board of the National Endowment for Financial Education and the founding president of the Greater Hudson Valley Chapter of the Financial Planning Association in 1987. Additionally, he has previously served on the boards of the Board Standards for Certified Financial Planners, the College for Financial Planning and Financial Planning Association, who granted him a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. Notably, he served as a major in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1968 and was with the U.S. Air Force Reserves until 1971. To attest to his legacy, Mr. Vern can also be found in various editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who In Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in the World.
