Lizzie Nottingham, Manager of Physician Relations at the University of Virginia Health Systems, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.

Backed by an Associate of Arts from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Ms. Nottingham has flourished in her position as the manager of physician relations with the University of Virginia Health Systems. Since 2002, she has been involved in strategic planning for pediatric growth, individual meetings with employees and providing insight with the team for relationship building. Prior, Ms. Nottingham served Southern Health, previously known as Qual Choice of Virginia, as a senior contract specialist and manager of provider relations between 1996 and 2001. She commenced her professional career as an assistant office administrator for H.O.P.E. from 1987 to 1996.

Finding great success delivering quality health to the people of Virginia, Ms. Nottingham was named to the Charlottesville Daily Progress Distinguished Dozen in 2012 and granted the Qual Choice of Virginia Leadership Award in 2000. From the American Cancer Society, she accepted the South Atlantic Division Award of Excellence for Income Development and Volunteer Leadership in 2009, Award of Excellence for Income Development in 2007, Special Events Award in 2005 and Volunteer of the Year for Charlottesville-Albemarle in 1997. Alongside these accolades, Ms. Nottingham’s most notable achievement was restarting the physician-relations program for the University of Virginia Health in 2002. Additionally, she served on the Hospice of the Piedmont Board of Directors for nine years and planned their first gala, as well as led a Pavilion Ball Committee for 15 years, raising thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society. Ms. Nottingham attributes her vast success to blessings from God and to her passion for health care.
