Having accrued over two decades of inimitable expertise in his chosen field, Dr. Wu has garnered a laudable reputation as the chief executive officer of the Doctors of Waikiki LLP, a cooperative undertaking established in 2018 by medical professionals in the vicinity of Waikiki, Hawaii. In this capacity, he is responsible for executive decisions, daily operations, general management and public relations, as well as supply and management. The clinic notably employs the expertise of five highly qualified doctors and a staff of approximately 40 employees.
Outside of his work at the Doctors of Waikiki, Dr. Wu is the chief executive officer of NW International Consultants LLC and the president of the Waikiki Massage Clinic. Prior to these appointments, he distinguished himself at a number of medical centers throughout Hawaii, and served for most of his career as a flight surgeon with the U.S. Air Force. Initially enlisting in 2009, Dr. Wu advanced to the rank of a major by the time of his retirement in 2017. Throughout this period, he excelled as a brigade flight surgeon, as a battalion surgeon overseas in Afghanistan and in various civilian positions at the Tripler Army Medical Center and Schofield Barrack Health Center.
Well regarded for his scholarly output, Dr. Wu has contributed numerous articles to various professional journals and publications. In a career suffused with highlights, he is most proud to have shepherded over 1,000 patients to recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic. For his accomplishments, Dr. Wu has been bestowed with such accolades as the Aviation Medicine of the Year Award by the U.S. Army Aviation Association in 2017 and several medals for his exemplary performance in the military, including a U.S. Army Meritorious Service Medal and an Afghanistan Campaign Star Medal.
Dr. Wu first sought an education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and liberal studies in 1999. Following this accomplishment, he received a Doctor of Medicine at the university’s John A. Burns School of Medicine in 2007. After joining the military, he undertook a residency in internal medicine at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2010. Dr. Wu’s proficiency in the field has largely been driven by his commitment to hard work and dedication, as well as the support of his friends and family.
