Ernest M. Oare, Managing Partner at EMO Stables LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of horsemanship.
Mr. Oare has enjoyed a fulfilling career as an equestrian that has spanned for more than five and a half decades. As the president and chief executive of the Oare Agency Inc. and EMO Stables LLC, he has likewise distinguished himself through his excellence in management and operations, having previously served as the president of the EMO Group Inc. and the vice president of Warrenton Wholesale Inc. from 1970 until 1973. Mr. Oare initially became involved in his profession in 1965, whereupon he established the Commander Horse Transport Company.
Having come of age on a horse farm in Indiana, Mr. Oare drew a wealth of inspiration from the example of his grandfather, who earned distinction as a fine equestrian in his own right. Outside of his primary career endeavors, he remains active on the board of directors for the Virginia Horse Shows Association Inc., of which he is a past president. Likewise, Mr. Oare is a board director with the Virginia Gold Cup Association, and previously maintained involvement on the boards of the Virginia Thoroughbred Association and National Steeplechase Association, among others.
To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Oare has garnered several awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Virginia Horse Council in 2015. Furthermore, he is a Hall of Fame inductee of the Virginia Horse Shows Association, where he also won the Andre Montgomery Award and recognition as the Horseman of the Year in 1982. In accounting for his standout success, he credits his passion for horses, as well as the support of his family. Looking toward the future, Mr. Oare aspires to remain active in his profession.
