April R. Frazier, CEO, President, and owner of A Moment’s Notice, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in entrepreneurship and human services.
Ms. Frazier is a United States Army veteran, ordained minister, and the CEO and owner of A Moment’s Notice, a notary public and wedding officiant service. Born on a military installation to service member parents, Ms. Frazier grew up surrounded by military culture and felt called to serve from a young age. She was active in ROTC as a teen, cementing her desire to join the armed forces, and enlisted in the United States Army in 1993. After finding that the training program to become an Army physician, her preferred career path, had a two-year waiting list, Ms. Frazier pursued her second choice and became a military police officer and investigator.
She remained on active duty until 2017, leaving police work in 2006 to serve concurrently as a United States Army detachment sergeant and unit administrator. Ms. Frazier was promoted to an operations role in 2012 and named Assistant Inspector General in 2015, a position she held until her military retirement. She left the Army decorated with two Meritorious Service Medals and four Army Achievement Medals and was presented with a 2016 Community Service Award by the Fort Jackson Installation Commander. While serving, Ms. Frazier pursued postsecondary education to support her passion for helping others, earning an Associate of Arts in criminal justice and corrections in 2005 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in human resources management from DeVry University in 2009.
Since her return to civilian life, Ms. Frazier has dedicated herself to providing resources and assistance to those in need, particularly the area homeless community. She spent 2018 as the South Carolina Attorney General’s office Veteran and Armed Forces Legal Outreach program coordinator, stepping down to concentrate on independent humanitarian work. Since 2019, her primary focus has been Galatians 6:2, the nonprofit organization she established to coordinate food and housing assistance for those experiencing homelessness. In order to help fund her mission with Galatians 6:2, Ms. Frazier has launched several business ventures, including GD Techwork, Higher Ground, Inc., and most recently, A Moment’s Notice.
Eventually, Ms. Frazier hopes to establish transitional housing facilities for women and veterans in several states, and she plans to continue her work with Galatians 6:2 for years to come. In addition to running her own nonprofit, Ms. Frazier is an active volunteer for several local organizations, serving as a family readiness liaison for Military Family Support, a teaching assistant for the Good News Club, and a troop volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, among others.
