Robert Frank Larsen Jr., PhD, Col., FA, CEO at Strat Op, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in systems engineering.
Dr. Larsen is a United States Army colonel, consultant, and CEO of Strat Op, LLC. Before entering consulting, Dr. Larsen spent 32 years on active duty with the United States Army, ending his service as a G-8 Staff Division Chief of Acquisition and Sustainment Program Analysis for the Army Program Analysis Evaluation Directorate. Prior to his promotion, he had excelled as a Plans Branch Chief in the Joint Capability Division. Throughout his career in the Army, Dr. Larsen led projects that saved the government millions of dollars, and he has been decorated with three Legion of Merit awards, a Joint Service Badge with an oak leaf cluster, and several service medals and war ribbons, among many other honors. His research has been included in the official journals of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Military Operations Research Society, and the International Council on Systems Engineering and published extensively in “Spaceforce,” “Army Magazine,” “System Engineer Magazine,” and others throughout the 1990s.
At Strat Op, LLC, Dr. Larsen and his business partners promise to create efficient and cost-saving solutions for clients building on his military and systems engineering expertise and his natural interest in economics. One of his earliest financial management experiences was helping to renegotiate his parents’ home loan, and he strives to bring the same level of impact and make a difference for each client. Dr. Larsen holds an undergraduate degree in business from Indiana University and a Doctor of Philosophy in systems engineering from George Mason University and attributes his success to his integrity and sense of discipline, as well as the values instilled in him by his family. Through 2020, Dr. Larsen was a dedicated volunteer for community face mask distribution efforts.
