Growing up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Ms. Sudor developed a deep interest and love for animals and nature, which has gone on to fuel her professional career in the publishing industry. In 1992, she spearheaded Cynthia A. Sudor Enterprises as the founder and president, in which she offers an eclectic range of marketing services and speaking engagement opportunities. Additionally, she is the founder and owner of CARACYN Publishing, LLC, publishing books about animals and a variety of other subjects since 2013. Ms. Sudor took a short sabbatical from her business to serve as a founding vice president of sales and marketing for the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts from 1998 to 2001.
In her writing career, Ms. Sudor is the author of books four and five of “Christmas on the Farm” and books one, two and three of “The Adventures at Green Apple Acres,” which is about animals that overcome challenges on a farm, learning valuable life lessons. Likewise, she has published various books through her company, including “A Miracle Named Josefina, the Miniature Donkey Born to be Loved,” “The Inmate Within: Prison Ministry, A Haven of Hope,” “Louise on the Lam” and “The Girl Behind the Door.” Ms. Sudor also doubles as a gifted speaker on various topics such as women in business, marketing and writing. Through her writing and speaking engagements, her ultimate goal is to encourage young boys and girls to have courage.
Finding great success throughout the course of her career, Ms. Sudor was granted the Pennsylvania 50 Best Women in Business Award and the Pennsylvania 25 Women of Influence Award. She received the Best Seminar Award from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in 1988, later being the first recipient of the Spirit of Children Award presented by the Progressive Education of Children in the Arts Network and the Leadership Class Award from the MS Society in 2007. Later, Ms. Sudor received the Executive Women International Literacy Select Award in 2012 and 2013 for “Adventures at Green Apple Acres.”
Graduating from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in design in 1974, Ms. Sudor is honored to receive prestigious awards from her alma mater, including Alumni of the Year, the Rankin-Epstein Award, and the university-wide Harriet E. Worrell Award for Professional Achievement and Public Service. At the start of her career, she worked in various marketing positions at Hershey Entertainment & Resort Company between 1975 and 1985. After 17 years and numerous promotions, including director of sales and marketing, director of destination marketing and director of corporate sponsorship, she was the only woman on the executive staff of Hersheypark/Arena/Stadium before leaving to spearhead her company. To attest to her legacy, Ms. Sudor can also be found in editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who of American Women.
