Marcia A. Wable, president, CEO, and CFO of Wable Insurance Services, Corp., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in insurance services.
Ms. Wable is an entrepreneur and insurance professional celebrating more than 40 years in the insurance industry and nearly a decade as the president, CFO, and CEO of Wable Insurance Services. She entered the insurance industry in 1974 as a junior at Fresno High School, when she was invited to participate in a two-year pilot program launching a student-run insurance office. By the second semester of the class, Ms. Wable had fallen in love with the business and was working half-days in a local insurance office. She graduated high school with honors in 1975 and completed some college coursework in insurance while continuing to work in the industry. Ms. Wable is proud to note that she has been in the insurance industry continuously since the age of 17, and credits her entrepreneurial spirit to her grandmother, who had found success running an independent perfumery in the 1950s. After several years as an agent for Cigna, then operating as I&A, Ms. Wable became an associate underwriter for Zurich Insurance Company, Ltd, where she would remain until 2005. In 2004, Ms. Wable earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative credential. She served briefly as a commercial underwriter for Colemont Insurance Brokers before joining Burns & Wilcox in 2008 as a senior commercial underwriter.
While working with Burns & Wilcox, Ms. Wable began to explore the potential of opening her own brokerage. She explains that her philosophy has always been to treat others how she would like to be treated and to place herself in the clients’ shoes in order to better understand their needs. In 2013, Ms. Wable left Burns & Wilcox to establish Wable Insurance Services, where she continues to provide clients comprehensive coverage and the highest-quality customer service. She attributes her success to her determination, hard work, and her empathy for her clients, and has been honored with numerous awards and accolades since opening Wable Insurance Services. Most recently, she has been recognized with inclusion in Worldwide Publishing’s 2015 and 2016 lists of Top Female Executives and the 2015 edition of Continental Who’s Who. As a part of her commitment to serving others, Ms. Wable volunteers with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Mason Center for Abused Women, and is active in the Clovis Christian Church. Within the next five years, Ms. Wable looks forward to continuing to grow and pivot her business to pursue new interests.
