Robert Terence Hanley, an accounts executive, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the insurance and automotive industries.
Mr. Hanley is an insurance account executive and automotive industry expert celebrating more than four decades of accomplishment in marketing and sales across numerous industries. A graduate of Rhode Island College, he earned a Bachelor of Science in managerial economics in 1983. Before moving into sales, Mr. Hanley spent several years as an accountant specializing in merchandising and licensed goods, including a position managing Diana Ross’ tour merchandise business.
After deciding to permanently relocate to New England alongside his wife, Mr. Hanley found himself in search of a new career, and was introduced to the automotive industry by a friend whose father owned a car dealership. Beginning as a salesperson, he quickly mastered sales techniques and income development strategies and advanced to become a sales manager at the dealership. Throughout his three decades in auto retail, Mr. Hanley has worked with such brands as Toyota and Lexus, and was recognized for his excellence in sales and leadership with a Toyota President’s Award for 25 consecutive years of service.
Mr. Hanley transitioned into the insurance industry as an accounts executive for Zurich North America, where he earned a President’s Award for his exceptional accomplishments in the role. He attributes his diverse success to his spirituality, the self-discipline he gained from more than 30 years of sobriety, the support of his family and friends, and his dedication in “paying it forward.” He remains active in several automotive groups and organizations, and is the founder and primary consultant of Simple Carbuy. Mr. Hanley is active in community outreach initiatives and Alcoholics Anonymous, and is a volunteer with Special Olympics, Northeastern Baseball’s 19 Ways community service program and the ALS Association. He considers his family to be the most important thing in his life, and looks forward to winding down his career within five years to relax and enjoy watching his adult children find their own successes.
