Mr. Rivera-Viduet is a writer, filmmaker, and entrepreneur serving as the president and CCO of Terramax Entertainment, LLC, since 2004. Born to a single mother on a coffee farm in Puerto Rico, Mr. Rivera-Viduet and his family immigrated to New York in the early 1950s seeking treatment for his life-threatening childhood tuberculosis. After Mr. Rivera-Viduet’s long-shot recovery, the family settled in the South Bronx and opened a small restaurant, where he helped his mother with accounting and operational tasks throughout his teenage years. A gifted student with an eye for mathematics, Mr. Rivera-Viduet was shaped by his mother’s advice that education was the only way out of poverty. He attended Baruch College on a full scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and business administration in 1964. Drawn to the entertainment industry as well as financial management, he became the vice president and CFO of International Creative Management in 1970 and the president of Tropical Visions Entertainment Group from 1996 until 2002. Among the highlights of his work in the film industry include working on major feature films such as “On Golden Pond” and “Sophie’s Choice,” and producing projects for Stan Lee and other A-list talent.

From 2002 until 2013, Mr. Rivera-Viduet was the vice president of Dramatists Play Service, and he holds writing, music, and production credits for stage performances including “The Zombies: A Musical Spoof.” Currently, Mr. Rivera-Viduet is focused on his work as the president and CCO of Terramax Entertainment, LLC and the managing principal of RJR and Associates, and he remains active in the Association of Producers of Puerto Rico and the Latino FIlm Project. In addition to his management and production credits, Mr. Rivera-Viduet is a prolific writer with a catalogue including “Hollywood… Se Habla Espanol: Hispanics in Hollywood Films 1908-2008,” 2009, an academic retrospective of Latino film history held in more than 50 research libraries worldwide. His recent publications include the “Dream Chaser” trilogy, a series of illustrated memoirs available digitally. Mr. Rivera-Viduet is the founder of both the Hispanic Academy of Media Arts and Science and the National Hispanic Media Coalition, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Hostos Community College Foundation. In recognition of his accomplishments in film and media as well as his advocacy on behalf of the preservation and representation of Latino media history, Mr. Rivera-Viduet has been honored as a trailblazer by the City of Yonkers, New York, and was the recipient of the 2020 International Latino Book Award for Best Career Business Book. He attributes his success to “being a dreamer” and a lifelong learner, and looks forward to continuing his work as a creator and documentarian.
