Clayton D. Schilling, President and Chief Executive Officer at Precision Digital Forensics, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in providing software of service, platform, and associated digital forensic and e-discovery services.
Having initially wanted to specialize in special military operations, Mr. Schilling was drafted into the Old Guard in 1983. During the course of his duties, he conducted ceremonies and stood vigil near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After meeting his future wife, however, he decided to switch careers toward military intelligence, through which he became involved in signals intelligence. By taking this path, Mr. Schilling became was responsible for handling such criminal investigations as robberies, murders and more.
Mr. Schilling eventually steered his efforts toward digital forensics, and served with the computer crime investigative unit. Following this period, he retired out of the military and subsequently joined the Drug Enforcement Administration, for which he worked in the digital evidence laboratory on digital forensics, team management and building satellite laboratories between 2003 and 2012. Mr. Schilling has served as the director of the Digital Forensics Laboratory at CACI Inc. since 2012, during which time he also earned distinction as the president and chief executive officer of Precision Digital Forensics Inc. since 2016 and the president and chief executive officer of Accredit-IT since 2018.
In accounting for his standout success, Mr. Schilling credits the influence of his mother, who raised him as a single parent. Likewise, he developed a great deal of experience during his time with the military, where he learned how to think creatively, react efficiently and understand the world of digital forensics. After completing his service in the military, Mr. Shilling earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and information science from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2003.
As a testament to his illustrious military career, Mr. Shilling received numerous military accolades, including a Meritorious Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, a Joint Service Achievement Award, an Army Achievement Medal, an Army Superior Unit Award, an Army Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He has also received a Federal Acquisition Certification for his work with the Federal Acquisition Institute in 2011. Mr. Shilling has been inducted as a member of numerous esteemed organizations, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, the American National Standards Institute and the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence, to name only a few.
