Stefan Boedeker, managing director of the Berkeley Research Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in statistics and economics.
Building on more than 30 years of expertise in economics and statistics, Mr. Boedeker has been the owner and managing director of the Berkeley Research Group LLC since 2010. A master of applying statistics and data science to a broad range of business and management issues, Mr. Boedeker is also an expert litigation consultant. He began his career at TU Dortmund University, graduating in 1986 with both a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and a Bachelor of Science in statistics, and was awarded a Master of Science in statistics in 1988. While a student, Mr. Boedeker was a teaching and research assistant in the department of economics at TU Dortmund University Business School.
Mr. Boedeker relocated to the United States in the late 1980s to continue his education and pursue additional business opportunities. He completed a Master of Arts in economics and an applied behavioral analysis certificate at the University of California San Diego before beginning his career as a partner with Arthur Andersen in 1992. Mr. Boedeker left Arthur Andersen in 2002, briefly becoming a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2003, and a principal at Deloitte until 2004. He spent the next year as a managing director for Navigant Consulting before joining LECG as a subject matter expert, a role he would continue to hold until 2007. After a brief term as the managing director of Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Boedeker excelled as a partner of Resolution Economics from 2008 until transitioning into his current position in 2010.
At Berkeley Research Group, Mr. Boedeker is primarily focused on leading teams of consultants in day-to-day casework and developing projects with clients, including specialized projects for the firm’s VIP clients. He attributes his ongoing success to his work ethic, perseverance, and ability to weather the industry’s constant changes, and advises others interested in the industry that respect for colleagues and clients is the foundation of true professionalism. Mr. Boedeker is a member of the American Statistical Association, the American Economic Association, and the American Association of Public Opinion Research, among others, and has volunteered as a coach, referee, and statistician for the AYSO for more than 15 years. He considers his rise through the industry to be his greatest accomplishment and looks forward to the coming years as a chance to see the junior colleagues who he has mentored establish themselves fully.
