Allen Nichol, Pharm.D, Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of Clinical Services at CeutiCare, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Nichol worked in his parents’ pharmacy by the time he was 11 years old. His father was the driving force of everything that he did, which is how he knew that he would end up in the pharmaceutical industry. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University in 1974 and later a Doctor of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University of the Health Sciences in 1993.
Dr. Nichol began his career in 1998 as a clinical pharmacist at Grandview Family Medical Practice, where he remained until 2009. In 1999, he also became an adjunct clinical faculty member with the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, staying in that position until 2020. Since 2007, he has held the position of chief operating officer and vice president of clinical services for CeutiCare. He is also the president of Expert Pharm Witness, a position he has held since 2011.
Alongside his career, Dr. Nichol has made time to give back to the community by being the president of DCPA and FPA in Miami, Florida and from 2011 to 2013 being on the executive committee of the Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management. Dr. Nichol’s most notable achievement was being the founding faculty member for the College of Pharmacy, which is now known as Nova Southeastern University.
Looking towards the future, Dr. Nichol wants to get his company up to the level of participation where somebody will purchase the company and finish the marketing of the project. As a testament to his success, he received a Preceptor of the Year Award from the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 2020, the Daniel B. Smith Award for Clinical Excellence in 2014 and the Distinguished Achievement Award in Community and Ambulatory Practice from the American Pharmacist Association in 2012. He also took home the Ohio Innovative Practice Award and and Florida’s First Dupont-Pharma Innovative Practice Award.
