He witnessed a taste of the good life with his friends, which made him want to get into the business field after graduation. Right out of high school, Mr. Potts won a good amount of money at a poker game, took that money and went into business. He began his career with Dales Auto Sales and Service. From there he joined Ameritech Mobile Communications, where he worked from 2003 to 2008. In 2004, he also worked with Global Outdoor Concepts. From there, he joined Mirage Putting Greens International. He currently is the chief executive officer of Lazy Lawn International, Inc.
Mr. Potts was known as the godfather of artificial turf in America. His company has been featured in articles in numerous newspapers throughout the United States. Looking towards the future, he wants to have a more executive position and eventually, he wants to give the business to his employees or sell it. As a testament to his success, Mr. Potts received a Thank You Letter and Plaque from Elizabeth Dole and has been featured in USA Today and the Chicago Tribune. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and boating.
