Kevin W. Kisor, Applications Engineering Manager at MAN Energy Solutions, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in turbomachinery.
Mr. Kisor always wanted to be involved in a multinational corporation. He has always been mechanically inclined because of this he started working on machinery and making it his professional career. Before starting on his career path, he earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from the College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University in 1976. He then became a Master of Business Administration candidate at Pepperdine University in 1987.
Mr. Kisor enjoys what he is doing. He does not feel forced to do the extra work or put extra energy and time into his work. He is willing to do extra work on his own time and that is critical. He began his career in 1978 with the Sundstrand Fluid Handling Corporation as an applications engineer and sales engineer, remaining until 1985. He then became a sales engineer in the Los Angeles and New Jersey sales offices and project manager and applications engineer for A-C Compressor Corporation, staying until 1997. The following year, he was an applications engineer for Nuovo Pignone. From 1998 to 2001, he was an application and sale engineer with GHH Borgis. Since 2001, he has been an applications engineering manager with Man Energy Solutions.
Looking towards the future, Mr. Kisor wants to be doing more consulting instead of what he is currently doing. Throughout his career, he made sure to always give back to the community. Currently, he is a member of the turbomachinery advisory committee of the Texas A&M Turbomachinery and Pump Symposium since 2013, a discussion group leader of the integrally-geared centrifugal compressors at the Texas A&M Turbomachinery and Pump Symposium since 2004, and on the rotating equipment subcommittee of AIChE Ethylene Producers Conference since 2003. As a testament to his success, the American Petroleum Institute honored Mr. Kisor for 15 Years of Participation in the Preparation of Technical Standards. He has also been inducted as a member of the American Petroleum Institute and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
