In preparation for his career pursuits, Mr. Underdal began his studies at Manchester University in the United Kingdom, where he graduated with a Master of Science in computer science in 1991. He continued his academic efforts at the Technical University of Denmark, earning an additional Master of Science in software engineering in 1991. In 2019, he concluded his education with a Juris Doctor from the Northwestern California University School of Law. Since 2013, Mr. Underdal has worked as the managing director of IDP Patent Services, and previously, he worked as the vice president of product delivery with Mitchell International from 2009 to 2012.
Mr. Underdal started his career working as a manager for Accenture in Copenhagen from 1992 to 2000, and the vice president of engineering with LogicTree Corp. in College Park, Maryland, from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2009, he worked as the director of engineering and leader of product management with SPX Corp. in Portage, Michigan. In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Underdal served as a Science Olympiad coach with Del Norte High School in San Diego, California, from 2011 to 2014. He Is the co-inventor of 15 United States patents, and more than 120 patents have been awarded to his clients. A member of the National Association of Patent Practitioners, Mr. Underdal looks forward to the continued success of his professional endeavors in the years to come.
