In this capacity, he has specialized in thermal imaging, moisture assessment, and photo documentation since 1994. Notably well regarded as an environmental and industrial hygienist, Mr. Moffett is certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) to educate international students in water damage restoration, odor control, fire and smoke damage restoration, and microbial remediation.
As a commitment to his field, Mr. Moffett has been prolifically active with the IICRC, where he sits on the board of directors. Furthermore, he has been credentialed by the organization as a standards consensus body member since 2021. Additional certifications to his credit include his status as an OSHA compliance safety trainer, a certified master restorer, and a general contractor in California. Likewise, Mr. Moffett has published five books and hundreds of technical articles. Long considered an expert witness, he has delivered hundreds of court and hearing testimonies since 1985.
To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Moffett has garnered numerous accolades. Among them, he won three Golden Quill Awards for his technical writing in 2015, 2010, and 2009 from the Restoration Industry Association, a Contribution Award in 2009 from the American Bi-Recovery Association, a Bill Bailey Memorial Award during the same year from the Carpet and Fabricare Institute and an ANSI/IICRC S520 Standard in 2008. Additionally, Mr. Moffett was bestowed with Golden Pen Awards in 1996, 1995, 1993, and 1991 for technical articles he submitted to Western Cleantalk Magazine.
