Warren E. King, Management, New Venture and Technology Commercialization Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting.
In preparation for his career, Mr. King attended Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, and subsequently studied at Indiana University Bloomington, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in management. From 1966 to 1970, he served in the United States Marines, working in naval avionics as a door gunner and repairing navigation equipment in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. For his service, he received a Meritorious Achievement Award, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Presidential Award.
Mr. King began his professional pursuits as a project manager and engineer with General Motors’ Delco-Remy Division, where he worked from 1976 to 1987. Following his departure, he held posts as a product manager for Hewlett Packard, an entrepreneur-in-residence with AMG Engineering, a product commercialization consultant with Purdue University, and a Midwest regional manager with SM&P Utility Resources Company.
In 1998, Mr. King was a global account sales executive with the Digital Equipment Corporation, and from 1998 to 2001, he was a management consultant and venture strategy analyst with the Crown Consulting Group. Since his departure, he has worked in his current post as a management, new venture, and technology commercialization consultant. In addition to his primary endeavors, he has maintained memberships with multiple economic development organizations.
In addition to his career, Mr. King has been a consultant with the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and has been affiliated with the Indiana Innovation Alliance Partners, the United Way, the Board Governance Committee, the Lacy Leadership Association, the Medical Professionals Association, the Legal Professionals Association, and Project Management International. Born July 9, 1947, in Durham, North Carolina, Mr. King looks forward to his continued success in the years to come.
