Richard J. Dobbins, Site Safety Officer at AECOM, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in rail transit.
Mr. Dobbins became involved in his profession after starting as a janitor in substation maintenance at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where he eventually rose to become the deputy director of the power department. Following this period, he worked for the Department of Utility with the State of Massachusetts. In 2017, he earned distinction as a rail transit engineer for the Transportation Oversight Division of the Department of Public Utilities, where he remained until 2020. Since 2020, Mr. Dobbins has served as a site safety officer for AECOM, for which he conducts safety planning.
Mr. Dobbins is most proud of his success within his profession. He started at the lowest level and rose to various positions of high authority, through which he has maintained responsibility over the safety of 300 employees. Civically, Mr. Dobbins serves as a coach for the Duxbury Youth Sports. As a testament to his success, he received an Award for Safety from the State of Massachusetts.
