Celebrating years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Rodriguez has dedicated his career to his role as a finance leader specializing in negotiation, business planning, operations management and strategic sourcing. Born and raised in Venezuela, he initially obtained an associate’s degree in computer science from Lake Michigan College in 1984 and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Universidad Santa Maria in Venezuela in 1992. He began his career with Ernst & Young, where he served as a consulting manager in the Venezuela office from 1992 until 2000. Throughout the course of his career, he found notable success as a supply chain manager for SINCOR and the principal consultant of procurement and logistics at Statoil International. Returning to academia to further his career, he graduated with a master’s degree in operations, supply chain management and oil and gas from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom in 2017.
As a leader in joint venture accounting, Mr. Rodriguez oversees operations in U.S. accounting, implements business solutions and serves as the Equinor U.S. Operations LLC representative for joint venture matters. Furthermore, he is tasked with the implementation of business process outsourcing for accounts payable and the consolidation of the accounts payable process across boundaries while working alongside multidisciplinary and multicultural stakeholders. Mr. Rodriguez attributes his success in the field to his commitment, flexibility and responsibility. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue to advocate for sustainable energy solutions in favor of the betterment of society.
