Rev. Dr. Derrick C. DeWitt, Sr., director and chief financial officer of Maryland Baptist Aged Home, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pastoral services and nursing home administration.
With a lifelong passion to help and care for others in need, Dr. Dewitt is humbled to manage the 100-year-old Maryland Baptist Aged Home. By managing his patients’ medical concerns, he facilitates their day-to-day happiness and daily activities. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Averett University and a Master of Arts in theology and biblical counseling and a Doctor of Arts in theology and biblical counseling from Freelandia Bible College and Seminary. He was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1989. Since 2006, he has found additional success as a pastor with the First Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
For his work as a pastor, Dr. DeWitt has been featured on the Ted Koppel Show, Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley, the Gayle King Show, and the Shepard Smith Show. Throughout his career, he has served as the president of the board of directors for both Intersection of Change, Inc. and Clergy United for the Transformation of Sandtown-Winchester. Additionally, he has contributed as a board member to the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health Food and Faith Project. For his achievements, he is proud to have been inducted into the College of Ministers and Laity at Morehouse College and received the Garment of Praise from the Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland. Looking toward the future, he aims to increase revenue services to the City of Baltimore in solar and health services towards the ambitious goal of building a solar manufacturing plant.
