George Millicker, the design consultant at Millicker & Salisbury, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in interior design.

With a career spanning over 60 years, Mr. Millicker has garnered expertise in interior design through projects for a multitude of prestigious companies. Specializing in mid-century contemporary design, he has provided designs for various residential and commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, and banks. As a design consultant at his firm for nearly 30 years, he assisted in the design development of interior spaces and buildings. Prior, he found notable success as a senior project designer for Cannell & Chaffin for over 20 years. In this role, he contributed designs to assist in the renovations and upgrades of large organizations such as Bank of America, H.J. Heinz Ore-Ida Foods, and Kings County Center. Over the course of his career, he has completed projects for companies such as Moog Inc. Aircraft Group-Torrance Operations, Hughes Telecommunications and Space-Battery Operations, Boeing EDD, Allied Signal Aerospace Company, Good Samaritan Hospital, and North American Van Lines.

As a child, Mr. Millicker would actively respond to questions from his brothers and sisters through drawings. Inspired to pursue a career in the field of art, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from the Pratt Institute in 1954 and 1955 respectively. After serving in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958, he began his career as an associate designer at Samson Berman Associates, where he remained until 1962. Relocating to Phoenix, he established himself as an interior designer at Conn-Pozen Design Associates from 1962 to 1964 and at Jim Coles & Associates from 1964 to 1966.

In order to remain abreast with advancements in the field, Mr. Millicker has maintained professional affiliation with the American Society of Interior Designers. For his accomplishments, he is honored to have been a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Above all, he is gratified to have received praise from his clients after completing each job. Though he is now retired, his hobbies and interests include painting, hiking, history, and traveling.
