Jeanne A. Travis, President and Chief Executive Officer of J. Robbins Enterprises LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business administration and entrepreneurship.
Beginning her career in 1995 as a mathematics teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools, Ms. Travis has more than 25 years of professional experience. After graduating from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, with minors in psychology and education, she garnered experience in a variety of roles, including as a teacher, and as an accountant and assistant to the chief financial officer of Anton Airfood Inc. From 2000 to 2002, Ms. Travis served as an Oracle/web developer with the Columbia Services Group Inc., and she subsequently worked as a technical project manager for Info Edge Technology Inc. and a technical manager with Avectra.
Ms. Travis was an Oracle database administrator for Artel Inc. from 2005 to 2012. With ISI Enterprises LLC, she held the position of chief technology officer from 2010 to 2012 and subsequently ascended to the post of president of the company, which she held until 2020. Since 2020, Ms. Travis has worked as the president and chief executive officer of J. Robbins Enterprises LLC, her own business development, marketing, and general consulting firm.
A lifelong learner, Ms. Travis holds numerous certifications in addition to her bachelor’s degree, including having completed the Java Certification Program through George Mason University in 2001 and the Oracle 8 Certification Program with the same institution in 1999. She has been recognized in the 2020 CIO Bulletin Startup of the Month, and with numerous awards from the annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, including Female Executive of the Year, Most Innovative Woman of the Year, and Female Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018 and 2019, among numerous further honors.
In her free time, Ms. Travis enjoys spending time with her two daughters. She has contributed her time as a member of her parent-teacher association, as a basketball team coach and as a head timer at swim meets for her children. She is also an active member of her local Unitarian Universalist Church where she serves on the stewardship and personnel committees. Ms. Travis feels that volunteering and donating are essential to the success of any community and believes that “life is about doing something that matters to you for the people who need it most.”
