John Lautz, Consultant at ABS Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering and consultation.
In preparation for his professional career, Mr. Lautz attended the University of Detroit, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1968, previously having completed some coursework in musical theater at the Commercial Theater Institute in New York. He subsequently concluded his academic endeavors at the Johns Hopkins University, completing graduate coursework in numerical science in 1969. Mr. Lautz has served as a consultant with ABS Consulting in Bethesda, Maryland, since 1995, and he previously worked as a senior system analyst with Digital Graphics Inc. for more than 20 years. From 1968 to 1969, he garnered experience as an engineer with Vitro Laboratories.
Mr. Lautz served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973, rising to the rank of Captain working in engineering. For his service, he received a Joint Services Commendation Medal from the United States Air Force in 1973. In addition to this honor, Mr. Lautz is the recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in the 26th edition of Who’s Who in the East, published in 1996. In 1975, Mr. Lautz shared his expertise through a magazine article titled “Sea Technology,” and in his spare time, he enjoys a variety of hobbies, including photography, musical theater, and keeping up with current events.
