Jorge Irizarry, Executive Director of Bonistas del Patio, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in public finance.
Specializing in consulting, public finance and business strategy, Mr. Irizarry is renowned for his expertise in Puerto Rico, New York, Chile, Honduras and Venezuela. Within Bonistas del Patio, he serves as a communication liaison between the media and the public. Moreover, he organizes events to educate the bondholders and general press and contributes to the bankruptcy process via mediation. Responsible managing for Puerto Rico’s public debt, he is proud to serve the people of the country through his tenure at the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico between 2005 and 2008. Moreover, he has gratified to have contributed to Pain Webber in an effort to assist private sector entities in expanding through varying financial instruments.
Since the year 2000, Mr. Irizarry has found additional success as the president of Sandoval Advisors. Additionally, he was approached by Morgan Stanley to cover the finances of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean between the years 2013 and 2015. He initially obtained a Master of Arts in finance and marketing from Harvard Business School in 1976. Throughout his career, he has maintained professional affiliations with organizations such as the Harvard Club of New York City, the Harvard Alumni Association and the National Association of Hispanic MBAs. Looking toward the future, he aims to launch an opportunity zone fund to invest in projects promoting the betterment of Puerto Rico.
