Since 2016, Ms. Parki has been a financial support supervisor for the Talladega Department of Human Resources, where she oversees three active programs and a staff of up to six employees. She was promoted to supervisor in under two years with the department, a promotion that she considers a career highlight and a reflection of the pride that she takes in both her professional growth and her job performance. A graduate of the University of Montevallo, Ms. Parki holds an Associate of Science degree and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2006. After her graduation, she spent several years as a bank teller before pursuing a career with the state government hoping to better serve others.

Her search brought her to the Alabama Department of Disability Determination Services. From 2012 until 2016, she worked to assess applications for disability services and assistance as well as helping applicants navigate the process. During her time with the department, Ms. Parki gained attention for her accuracy, maintaining an error rate of just 2% over the course of her employment. While passionate about the work, she hoped to find a job closer to her home and children, leading her to her current role with the Talladega Department of Human Resources. Ms. Parki attributes her career success to her self-motivation, planning, and collaboration skills, and she hopes to start her own medical billing and coding business within five years.
