Offering his knowledge and expertise to others in his field, he has authored feature articles on financial services multi-jurisdictional regulation and GRC optimization. Mr. Gibbons has also been a featured speaker on trends in financial services controls-management at domestic and international conferences, having dabbled in consultant work worldwide, including in Finland, England, Japan and Ireland.
Previously in his career, Mr. Gibbons spent time as an independent consultant from 2015 to 2017 after working as an SME/business and IT consulting/solutions practice-leader for IGate Technologies, Inc. and Tech Mahindra, Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Having been the global head of market-investigations for the CME Group, Inc. in Chicago and New York from 2009 to 2013, he utilized his three years of experience with Deloitte Consulting LLP as a senior manager of business-driven transformation solutions development in the Capital Markets Operation & Technology Division. Between 2003 and 2004, Mr. Gibbons developed additional skills as an associate partner with IBM Global Services, Inc. and as a compliance products manager for Actimize, Inc.
In the 1990s, Mr. Gibbons excelled as the senior vice president and corporate head of compliance for the United States Trust Company of NY, Inc. from 1997 to 1999. Boasting an international career, as well, he was the global head of compliance, managing director of DB research and supervisory board adviser for Deutsche Bank Group AG in Frankfurt, Germany for eight years until 1996. Additionally, Mr. Gibbons had been a chief administrative officer of N.A. Holding Company, BNP-Paribas (Americas), Inc. from 1984 to 1988 and worked for the SEC-Designated Regulatory Authority, New York Stock Exchange, Inc. from 1979 to 1983.
