Ms. Clouse became involved in the culinary arts in elementary school after joining her local 4H Club, where she learned how to do agriculture, sewing, and cooking. As she came of age, she performed exceptionally in food and nutrition classes, which she saw as a sign to follow her dream. In 2021, she earned an Associate of Arts in restaurant management from Hillsborough College. The author of her own cookbook, “Simply D Best,” published in 2020, she has received several silver and bronze medals for winemaking in 2000. Looking toward the future, Ms. Clouse strives to become a distinguished restaurateur fueled by her good character, dedication, strength, and integrity.
Since 2010, Ms. Clouse has worked as a security officer for Wiser Security, in which she is proud to serve her community and develop relationships with future customers of her restaurant. She is also a self-described ambassador for Christ, veteran’s widow, and volunteer for the homeless. Alongside her aptitude for the culinary arts, Ms. Clouse is a gifted singer and songwriter with numerous original songs to her credit. Attributing her success to determination and having a “go-getter attitude,” Ms. Clouse is particularly proud to have become a United States citizen. Presently, she maintains membership with Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Culinary, The Well, and her local Community Association. With various feats to her name, she is excited for what the future holds regarding her professional endeavors.
