Tony Zorc, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Accounting Seed, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in accounting.
Boasting more than 25 years of experience in the accounting sector, Mr. Zorc has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer of Accounting Seed since 2008. A certified public accountant, he previously worked as a solutions architect in ERP systems for SSI Consulting from 2005 to 2008, during which time he realized that traditional accounting systems were stubborn and inflexible. Mr. Zorc believes a successful accounting technology solution should be communicated seamlessly to not only those who handle data, but the company’s front office and corporate hierarchy as well. It should also be a flexible tool set that allows organizations to build data structures, features and automations to their unique needs. Over the past decade, Accounting Seed has notably seen substantial growth, with over 1,000 customers and 14,000 users.
During the earliest stages of his career, Mr. Zorc served as a staff auditor for BDO Seidman LLP between 1996 and 1998, whereupon he worked closely with public and private manufacturers, distributors and financial institutions. He subsequently served on behalf of the Amway Capital Group as a division controller from 1998 until 2000 before working for Herman Miller as an international financial manager between 2000 and 2003, during which time he oversaw the European, Middle East and Asian regions. Mr. Zorc ultimately returned to the U.S. and settled in Maryland, where he went on to work as a controller for Accelera Romar from 2003 to 2005. In 2021, he published “Iconoclasm: A Survival Guide in the Post-Pandemic Economy.”
Mr. Zorc earned a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champiagn in 1994 and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Hope College in 1996. Presently, he maintains membership with the Young Presidents Organizations (YPO) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Mr. Zorc has been the recipient of several Badges from Chief Crown, and Inc. 5000 listed Accounting Seed as a Top-Rated Business for the year of 2020 to 2021. In accounting for his standout success, he credits his propensity for embracing challenge and having the discipline to see every trial to its completion.
