Pastor Beverly J. Renford, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Pastor of the Greater Bethlehem Temple Pentecostal Church Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious services.
Hailing from a family of religious leaders, Pastor Renford watched her mother excel as a pastor and her father as a bishop. After coming of age and in the Pentecostal church, she desired to remain close to her religious life on a professional level and began her ministerial career in 1979. Since 2013, Pastor Renford has flourished as the chief executive officer and senior pastor at the Greater Bethlehem Temple Pentecostal Church Inc. in Rochester, New York. Over the years, she had also served the church as a childcare provider, choir director, secretary and assistant pastor.
In addition to her primary role, Pastor Renford has also been the chief executive officer of The Children’s Place Family Daycare in Rochester, New York since 2007, a role she also previously held from 1994 to 1999. Simultaneously, she was a relief substitute teacher and teacher’s assistant at the Hillside Children’s Center from 2008 to 2016. Attributing her success to God and having strong pioneers, she feels honored to serve her local community and inspire her congregants to be their best selves. Recently, she co-authored “Tidbits of Wisdom: A-Gem-Day” and “My Hidden Strength.”
Pastor Renford earned an Associate of Science in early childhood education from Monroe Community College in 2015. She went on to matriculate at the State University of New York College at Brockport, attaining a Bachelor of Science in English and creative writing in 2018 and a Master of Science in English, creative writing and fine arts in 2021. Pastor Renford maintains professional affiliation with the National Association of Female Executives, National Association for Education of Young Children, Omicron Delta Kappa and Sigma Tau Delta. Pastor Renford looks forward to continuing to be the best pastor she can be while also working to improve the inner workings of the church and community.
