Mr. Roach is a proud 36-year veteran of the United States Army who has brought his management and logistics skills to the New York Life Company as an insurance sales agent since 2020. At New York Life, Mr. Roach specializes in helping his clients break the cycle of poverty and plan for their and their families’ financial futures by educating them about insurance and financial needs to create build and persevere wealth. He is passionate about spreading financial literacy and guiding clients through the complex process of establishing a legacy for their families, enjoys training other associates to approach the process with thoroughness and compassion, and hopes to be a part of New York Life Company’s Associate Partner program by the end of 2021.

Prior to entering the insurance industry, Mr. Roach served his country as a member of the United States Army. Though he was not raised in a military family, Mr. Roach felt a lifelong call to service and enlisted during his junior year in high school. He served as an Operations Manager from 1984 until 2000, when he was promoted to Senior Manager of Project Management, and spent five years as Director of Logistics Operations between 2013 and 2017. He considers the highlight of his career to have been his 2017 promotion to G357 Sergeant Major General of the Combined Arms Sustainment Command, serving as the Directorate of Logistics and Material Readiness. Throughout his career, Mr. Roach has been honored to rise to positions of authority where he can offer guidance and knowledge that his teams can rely on and respect. While serving the United States Army, Mr. Roach earned a Bachelor of Science in Leadership from Trident University International and completed additional training through the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy in 2016, in addition to a host of additional civilian leadership credentials including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He retired from the Army in 2020 decorated with a Bronze Star, a Meritorious Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit Award, and looks forward to spending time traveling with his family and growing his professional team in the coming years.
