Hollis Borteck, Real Estate Agent at Houlihan Lawrence, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in residential real estate sales.
Since 2011, Ms. Borteck has been an associate broker with Houlihan Lawrence, where she brings clients 35 years of experience buying and selling homes in Scarsdale and surrounding areas. A longtime resident of Scarsdale, Ms. Borteck is known for her attention to detail and commitment to building community and hosts an annual party for her clients to get to know one another and develop neighborhood relationships. A two-time Westchester County Board of Realtors Silver Award recipient and an eight-time Platinum Award honoree, Ms. Borteck became a licensed real estate broker in 1987 after seeing the parallels between her husband’s work as an attorney and the complexities of real estate sales and negotiations. She spent the first two decades of her career as an associate of Julia B. Fee Realty before joining Houlihan Lawrence.
Ms. Borteck holds a Bachelor of Science in education from New York University and a Master of Arts in counseling from Boston University and enjoyed careers as a fifth-grade classroom teacher for the Needham School District and a college counselor before entering the real estate industry. She credits much of her success to the communication skills she developed as a counselor, and she is active in the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors in addition to being a Westchester affiliate of the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service. Ms. Borteck has previously contributed to Impact 100 and served on the Women at Risk luncheon committee, and enjoys personal time spent traveling the world, appreciating fine art, and pursuing dance and fitness activities. She treasures the relationships she has built with her clients and colleagues over the course of her career, and looks forward to beginning to slow down and work toward retirement in the coming years.
