Bringing more than 20 years of tech industry experience to the role, Mr. Bachour joined Axon as a Senior Technical Program Manager in 2021. His work specializes in digital records management, and technology used by law enforcement agencies, and he is passionate about its potential to improve the relationship between communities and police. A native of Lebanon, Mr. Bachour speaks fluent English, Arabic, and French, and came to the United States in 1989 as a student after earning a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from École Supérieure D’Ingénieurs. He spent two years as Senior Director and project manager for Numera before joining Amazon in 2014 as a senior software development manager and senior technical program manager, working on international retail expansion, Alexa AI, and Alexa domains teams until December 2020, when he accepted his current position with Axon. Mr. Bachour holds a United States patent for a product-selection algorithm, and has also developed heart rate detection algorithms for use in fetal monitors.
Mr. Bachour credits much of his success to his mother and uncle, who served as his first mentors, and to the person who helped him start and grow his career at Microsoft. A certified Project Management Professional, Mr. Bachour hopes to remain in tech for the next several years and expanding his role to share his skills with the community through teaching or coaching. He remains enthusiastic about his work and the power of working and continued learning as a team, and hopes to be remembered as a strong and flexible leader. When not working, Mr. Bachour enjoys reading and spending time with his wife and children.
