Dr. William R. Meeks, president and chief executive officer of the Global National Health Association Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in alternative and complementary medicine.
As a Doctor of Chiropathy, Dr. Meeks specializes in naprasage, a type of manipulation and nutrition therapy that realigns the body back to its normal, healthy state while relieving pain from ligaments, tendons and connective tissue. Motivated to pursue a career in alternative medicine after a restorative treatment changed the course of his life, he completed coursework at Eastern Arizona College in 1954 before earning a naprapathy degree as well as a Doctor of Chiropathy from Chiropathy, Inc. Dr. Meeks has studied naprasage with the late Dr. Harold Swanstrom, who developed the therapy and helped thousands of patients. As Dr. Swanstrom’s sole pupil, Dr. Meeks has pioneered naprasage therapy and developed each of its unique treatments.
Dr. Meeks has been an independent alternative medicine practitioner specializing in naprasage since 1978. He published a book, “Back to Natural Health” in 1999 in an effort to spread awareness on the links between overall wellness and colon health. Dr. Meeks is affiliated with the American Ballistic Association and the American Naturopathic Medical Association, and has been presented with multiple Golden Web Awards, multiple Fellow Awards in Chiropathy and three Doctor Awards from the American Naturopathic Medical Association. Looking toward the future, Dr. Meeks aims to open a school to teach medical doctors how to practice naprasage.
