Carolyn M. Rubin, Senior Director, Practice Innovation at U.S. Anesthesia Partners, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical administration.
Ms. Rubin is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional, Certified Medical Coder, and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative with two decades of experience in healthcare finance and administration. Since 2018, she has been the senior director of practice integration at U.S. Anesthesia Partners and the executive director of the John Maxwell Team. Before beginning her career in healthcare, Ms. Rubin was an independent restaurateur and real estate agent looking for options that would allow her to spend more time with her young children. She earned a diploma in medical assisting from the Omaha College of Health Careers in 1995 and transitioned to more administrative roles in 2001 as a reimbursement coordinator for Oncology Hematology West. Ms. Rubin joined Texas Oncology in 2005 as a professional medical billing and coding educator, rising to become associate director of health information services in 2007 and practice administrator in 2010.
She served as the director of reimbursement support services at McKesson Specialty Health from 2012 until 2014, when she was named vice president of revenue cycle innovations at Anthelio Healthcare Solutions, where she would spend the next two years. Until accepting her current role with U.S. Anesthesia Partners, Ms. Rubin was the director of revenue cycle management at Dallas Nephrology Associates. Ms. Rubin has developed healthcare coding and leadership curricula for Elsevier Publishing, McKesson Specialty Health, and others, is a former presenter for the U.S. Oncology Leadership Institute and Team Captain for the American Cancer Society and continues to speak and present roundtables and seminars for the Bureau for Healthcare Conferences.
In recognition of her work on behalf of patients, Ms. Rubin has been named one of Executive Spotlight Healthcare Finance’s 2016 Top 101 Industry Experts, a 2020 IAOTP Empowered Woman of the Year and Top Healthcare Executive of the Decade, and a WOD Top 10 Executive Leader, among other honors. She is currently working toward a Master of Business Administration degree at Arizona University and looks forward to continuing to advocate for patients and providers in her work.
