Peter H. Jenkins, Esq., CEO and Executive Director of the Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Philadelphia & Vicinity, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nonprofit management and litigation.
Mr. Jenkins is an attorney specializing in labor and employment litigation and the current executive director and CEO of the Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Philadelphia & Vicinity (SMCA). He began his work with the organization in 2018 as director of labor relations and was named executive director in 2020, overseeing the group’s strategic planning, administrative, and labor relations functions. Mr. Jenkins brings more than a decade of legal expertise to the role and represents the SMCA to local and national legislators and other trade groups, advocating for its members and ensuring the continued availability of the professional services they rely on. Prior to his career with the SMCA, Mr. Jenkins spent eight years as assistant chief of the New Jersey Division of Law’s Employment Counseling & Labor Section, where his work focused on representing companies and management entities in labor litigation.
Mr. Jenkins graduated magna cum laude from Temple University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and English and was awarded his Juris Doctor by the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2009. He takes pride in his communication skill and ability to understand and connect the needs of various parties on all sides of a case or workplace. Mr. Jenkins has been published in the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal and looks forward to continuing his work modernizing and helping the SMCA grow into the 21st century. In his personal time, Mr. Jenkins enjoys volunteering in his community and coaching his son’s baseball team.
