Donald D. Walters, Sergeant Criminal Investigator at the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in criminal justice.

With decades of experience in apprehending nefarious individuals, Mr. Walters has dedicated his career to contributing to criminal arrests and investigations, wanted subject apprehension and narcotics investigations. Harboring a desire to pursue a career as a police officer from as early as 16 years old, he initially obtained an Associate of Arts in criminal justice from Allegany College of Maryland in 1984 prior to earning a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from the University of Maryland in 1987. During this time, he began his career as a juvenile probation officer for the Maryland Department of Juvenile’s Services. From 1993 to 2011, he found notable success as the Deputy Sheriff at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Thereafter, he continued his career in positions such as a security officer for SeaWorld, a parole officer II for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a protective security officer II for the USAA and a reserve sergeant deputy constable for the Bexar County Constable Precinct 4.

Though his career has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Walters is most proud to have contributed to the narcotics task force with the Rockville City Police. Regarded as a Masterpiece Officer in the state of Texas, he is honored to have been presented with the Meritorious Service Award from Rockville County in 2002. Furthermore, he received Citation for Bravery from Rockville County in 1995. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue his work in criminal trials. Above all, it is his goal to be renowned as the “go-to guy” for tasks that need to be completed as well as a valued employee at the District Attorney’s Office.
