Drawing on several decades of expertise in various fields, Dr. Freeman has led a multifaceted career as a radio announcer, real estate developer, sports analyst and writer. Presently, he has served as a developer for Artesian Development LLC, since 2016. In this capacity, Dr. Freeman has rehabilitated roughly 20 existing properties, and primarily focuses his efforts on building new buildings outside of Atlanta.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Dr. Freeman co-hosts a sports radio program on 105.5 The Beat FM, which has been broadcast from Rochester, New York, since 2019. Previously, Dr. Freeman served as Sports Director for Power 96.5 radio and as a feature writer for the Buffalo Criterion Newspaper In this role, he covered more than 21 Super Bowls and various events regarding the National Football League.
A prolific writer, Dr. Freeman wrote “The Art of the Interview” through Sharpe Publishing in 2021. In this capacity, he selected eight of his favorite interviews from his long-running talk show The Message which aired from 1994-2008 on WUFO radio. He also served as a campus police officer from 1990 until 2019, and is the co-owner ATL Philly Steak Sandwich food truck. A volunteer within his local community, he was elevated to the 33rd and last degree in masonry in 2006 and was then elected as the District Deputy Grandmaster (Emeritus) of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New York in 2015. Furthermore, Dr. Freeman is a member of the Football Writer’s Association and a Life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
