Owen Palm, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of 21st Century Equipment LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in agriculture equipment sales.
As the preeminent agricultural solutions provider across Western Nebraska, Northeastern Colorado and Eastern Wyoming, Mr. Palm has dedicated his career to providing quality John Deere equipment to the communities he serves. With deep expertise, broad solutions and data-driven strategies to meet each client’s agriculture needs, he and his team have made it their mission to make farming easier by creating customer value for farmers, ranchers, homeowners and businesses. Though he established 21st Century Equipment LLC in Alliance, Nebraska as an investment in 1996, he quickly became passionate about his work. Today, he is gratified to operate nearly 20 different locations, many of which he has acquired through acquisitions and mergers with other agricultural businesses.
Mr. Palm initially completed coursework in physics from Saint John’s University between 1971 and 1973 prior to earning a bachelor’s degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1975. From 1989 to 2000, he found notable success as the vice president of operations at Tate and Lyle PLC – The Western Sugar Company. Supplementing his professional career, he has excelled as the former president of the Nebraska chapter of the Nature Conservancy, a former trustee of Chadron State College, a trustee on the Foundation Board of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and the co-chair of the Statewide Business Initiative of Blueprint Nebraska.
Though his career has been suffused with highlights, Mr. Palm is most proud to have overseen the statewide business initiative to improve the economic activity across the state of Nebraska. For his achievements in the field, he is proud to have been honored as an inductee into the Nebraska State Chamber Business Hall of Fame in 2019 and the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement in 2021. He attributes his success to his ability to select good people to work for his organization. Looking toward the future, he aims to retire from working full time while taking up an advisory position within his company.
