Monroe Gracie Jr., Assembly Worker at Gestamp, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in manufacturing.
With more than 25 years of experience in the field, Mr. Gracie is an expert in parts assembly and manufacturing for high-end vehicles including aircraft and luxury cars. Inspired by a childhood love for airplanes, he completed coursework at Alabama A&M University and auto body and painting curriculum at Lawson State Community College, where he consistently made the Dean’s List and President’s List for his high grade point average. At Gestamp, Mr. Gracie works on parts and glass for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and takes pride in ensuring the safety and quality of each component that he assembles.
Before joining Gestamp, Mr. Gracie spent several years in the aircraft industry, a period he considers to be a career highlight. His aircraft manufacturing work focused on sandblasting, painting, and exterior finish, and he hopes to eventually return to the industry. Outside his work in manufacturing, Mr. Gracie runs an independent cleaning service specializing in auto detailing and carpets. He credits his success to his determination, perseverance, and the strength that he gains from his faith, and emphasizes to others that with consistency and hard work, anything is possible.
