Martin Borutta, chief executive officer of Teupen North America, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in industrial manufacturing.
Born and raised in Germany, Mr. Borutta earned a diploma in automotive engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Augsburg in 2001. He began his professional career as the technical director of the U2 Office Buromobelfabrik in 1993 and went on to work with the Trend Office Buromobelfabrik Gmbh & Co. from 1995 to 1996 and Topstart Mobel GMBH from 1996 to 1997. In 1997, he was named CEO of Office Buromobelfabrik Gmbh & Co., leaving to become CEO of Joy Office Consulting from 2000 to 2003 and TTK Technologie GMBH from 2003 to 2007. Between 2007 and 2015, Mr. Borutta was the chief visionary officer at ROFA Industrial Automation AG until 2015, and he continued to consult as the CEO of Martin Borutta Strategic Consulting until 2016.
Today, Mr. Borutta is dedicated to his role as the chief executive officer of Teupen North America, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of compact track lifts, where he oversees all group operations, including R&D process strategy, market selection, product development strategy and sales. Mr. Borutta acquired Teupen in 2008, at which time it had been sold to a private equity firm after gaining recognition as the market leader in height access solutions since its establishment in 1977. He established Teupen North America the following year.
Mr. Borutta attributes his success to strong branding and a technology-driven mindset. Looking toward the future, he aims to further develop Teupen in the United States and Asia with sustainable products and corporate partnerships.
