Robert Baker-Hargrove, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder of 26Health, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in healthcare inclusivity.
Focused on diversity, equity and inclusion, Mr. Baker-Hargrove established 26Health as an all-inclusive health clinic, offering comprehensive services for LGBTQ+ community members and allies in Orlando and beyond. In a world where there is a multitude of healthcare discrepancies for communities of color and the LGBTQ+ community, it was his mission to create a culturally competent place where community members can be comfortable to be their true selves and be seen by providers from the community where they come from. He initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in textile sciences with a minor in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 prior to earning a Master of Business Administration from Webster University in 2000. He began his professional career as a choreographer and a production manager with the Walt Disney Company, holding the position from 1994 to 2012. Going forward, he found notable success within the company as a resource manager of production from 2012 to 2014, a producer from 2014 to 2015 and a proprietor of entertainment operations from 2015 to 2018.
Through working for the Walt Disney Company for nearly 25 years, Mr. Baker-Hargrove continually sought additional ways to make an impact within his community. Supplementing his professional career, he has served as an executive producer for entertainment with the Come Out with Pride Entertainment Committee of the Central Florida LGBTQ Community, a treasurer of the Florida State Board of Directors for Mental Health, a Leadership Team Member of PRIDE, a Disney Resource Group and a board member of the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. For his accomplishments, he is proud to have been nominated for an Eagle Award by the Orlando Chamber of Commerce and honored as the Nonprofit of the Year for his contributions following the Pulse Nightclub tragedy. Moreover, he has been presented with the Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award. Looking toward the future, he aims to continue providing inexpensive and accessible healthcare to his community while further participating as a community leader through speaking engagements and civic engagement.
