Cory Lamar Skinner, line cook at Fourboys Ltd., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in culinary arts.

Inspired by his father, a chef at Giovanni’s, Mr. Skinner began cooking at the age of 12 and earned an associate’s degree in culinary arts at Monroe College in 2006. He continued his education at the Technical Career Institutes, completing a second associate’s degree in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance technology in 2017. Mr. Skinner holds several additional professional credentials and is certified in construction safety and health by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and in food handling by the New York State Department of Health.

Mr. Skinner has worked as a line cook at Le Pain Quotidien, on-call with Qwick Professionals, and has catered events including the Governor’s Ball Music Festival and for clients including MetLife Stadium, Lambs Club, and the Caviar Company. He will be joining the foodservice staff at Yankee Stadium for the 2021 season and hopes to establish an independent catering business. In addition to his work in the kitchen, Mr. Skinner is the author of a cookbook, “This Can’t Be Vegan: Find Me Delicious Vegan Dishes.”

Mr. Skinner is passionate about the positive impact that adult education and career training can have on individuals and communities and is a motivational speaker for Bloomberg. His advocacy has helped secure more than $2 million in grant funding for a New York City school for adult learners. Mr. Skinner partners with organizations providing meals to New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, and he is committed to creating jobs and helping others develop the skills required to succeed in the food and beverage industry.
