Following the end of his service in 1969, he turned down the offers from Naval Academy twice and pursued night school for 10 years. Mr. Kiely later attained a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Upsala College in 1976 and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 1980.
