Dewey C. Mason, managing partner at UV Specialties Coating, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in industrial coatings and sealants.
Mr. Mason celebrates over four decades of expertise in UV-curable coating development and sales. He studied chemistry at Grambling State University before entering the industrial chemical industry in 1985 as an employee of Sun Chemical. He would remain with the company for the next 19 years, rising to become a senior product development specialist in the UV inks department before departing in 1999. Mr. Mason established UV Specialties, LLC in 2003, and shortly after, created ECC Technologies, a second company specializing in resins and raw materials for the radiation curing industry.
In 2005, ECC Technologies was acquired by IGM Resins, where he served as the United States regional technical manager until 2014. He continued his involvement with UV Specialties, LLC as owner and managing partner, and has developed proprietary protective coatings for aerospace and imaging use. Throughout his career, Mr. Mason has also worked with Reliance Universal and Dainippon Ink and Chemicals in product development, and he considers his work on creating a fencepost coating offering up to eight years of outdoor protection to be among the highlights of his career. Outside his work, Mr. Mason enjoys spending time with Mary, his wife of more than 30 years, and his three adult daughters, and hopes to participate in the Barbecue Circuit, a national barbecue competition.
