In 2008, Mr. Canzoniero joined Gamse Lithographing Co., Inc., in Rosedale, Maryland, now Gamse Labels and Packaging, as vice president of finance, information technology and digital printing, and thereupon served as executive vice president from 2015 to 2018 and as president beginning in 2018. The firm specializes in the design and printing of all types of labels, sleeves and lids for leading food, beverage, spirits, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and tobacco companies, with particular expertise in metalized papers, cut and stack labels, Injection and In-Molded labels, pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and gold stamping.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, in 2002, Mr. Canzoniero continued his education with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Stephen Ross School of Business, Ann Arbor, in 2008, gaining valuable initial experience in Ann Arbor as an intern with Dow Chemical in 2007.
Mr. Canzoniero attributes his success to his parents’ high expectations as immigrants to the United States. He joined Gamse as a junior partner to his father Dan, who was chief executive of the company. He takes additional pride in assuming the company leadership after his father’s death. In the coming years, Mr. Canzoniero looks forward to continuing Gamse Labels and Packaging’s push into digital printing and expects that mode will comprise most of his company’s business by then.
