Frank Davis, Pastor at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in spirituality.
Pastor Davis became involved in his profession because he was inspired by his father who was a pastor with the Assembly of God Church. Since 1998, he has invoked the teachings of his father, and of his faith, as a pastor at his church. He was also inspired by his interest in theatre and he recognized that both actors and faith leaders were driven by their passion for their work. Pastor Davis became a pastor at 52 years old. When Pastor Davis was discharged from the U.S. Army, he went into radio and worked there for several years. From there, he moved to California and worked as an actor for 13 years. After that, he moved to Eagan, Minnesota, to work as a truck driver for eight months and then returned to Louisiana to work as a houseparent for 14 boys at the Boys and Girls Villages in Lake Charles. It was his work here that he came back to the teachings of his father and began the process of becoming a United Methodist pastor, which he has been doing for the past 23 years.
Pastor Davis attributes his success to his love for God and people. This love has guided him in what to do and what needed to be done. Understanding that life is a gift, he lives for today. The only thing and the only way that he lives for tomorrow is to live his life today so that he will be worthy of tomorrow. In addition to being regarded as a Top Professional, Pastor Davis has received a Humanitarian Award.
