Since 2012, Ms. Deszcz has been a franchisee with pet boarding, grooming and daycare centers Hounds Town USA and later owner and president of All Aboard Doggie Daycare & Boarding in Port Jefferson Station, New York. In a carefully cultivated environment, dogs interact with animals of their size and temperament in a uniquely structured, natural pack environment that promotes socialization, builds confidence, and helps with separation anxiety, weight control, and behavioral issues, as well as enjoy breakfast, dinner and mid-day naps in their individual townhouse kennels or private “suites.” A variety of grooming services for dogs are offered, including breed-specific haircuts, flea and tick treatments, and more.
Ms. Deszcz joined Hounds Town as a marketer in 2006 and her role soon blossomed into a full general business management position for the two original Hounds Town locations, including learning dog behavior and training under master trainer Michael Gould. She purchased the Port Jefferson Hounds Town franchise in 2012 and thereupon acquired a Bachelor of Science in applied animal psychology from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2015. In 2021, she founded All Aboard Daycare & Boarding.
An active participant in community affairs, Ms. Deszcz is an active member of the Port Jefferson Rotary, sits on the Women’s Advisory for the Town of Brookhaven, and is a member of Decisions. All Aboard Daycare & Boarding has won numerous “Best of” awards and boasts having both a veterinary technologist and veterinary assistant on staff.
